Based in Oswestry, the Club was formed in 1921 to organise competition events for cars and motorcycles at various venues around the English - Welsh border region. The Club now solely organises competitive motorcycle observation trials. We organise solo motorcycle trials with four routes for :Expert, Intermediate, Novice, O / 40, Twinshock & Pre 65 classes.
We are a motorcycle trials group that run events in the Cheshire and Northwales area. Please check our Facebook page for results and local news on all events.
Established over 25 years ago, and is affiliated to the North Wales and Cheshire Center of the ACU. Our club is recognized as being capable of putting on top trials events in a varied venues all around the Llangollen area. Each year the club runs four rounds of its own trials championship as well as hosting national events like the Lomax and NBBC. But we don’t just do “off road”. If you have 2 wheels and an engine – we love ya! Why not join us?
The Centre Championship is a series of trials run by different clubs in the centre at different venues to produce a Centre Champion in each of the classes it applies too: Expert Intermediate Novice Over 40+ (harder sections) Over 40 (easier sections) ‘A**’ which denotes Centre Championship on the dates page. Youth – all classes (at different events from the adult version) “Y**” denotes Youth rounds Usually centre championship events are a bit special in that clubs usually take care to ensure that ‘their round’ uses their best venues and that the sections are appropriate to a centre championship = a bit more challenging than a club trial but not too hard for those local riders who are likely to enter IE not like a world round or anything big and dangerous!!!!
The club is primarily run for Classic bikes from the 50’s through to mid 80’s with sections set out accordingly. We do allow modern bikes to ride and you are most welcome, but they are not included in any awards or championship. We run 10 championship trials, 3 summer series trials, the Roy Rigby memorial trial in honour of one of the founding members, the 2 day trial which includes a fun trial and a round of the championship and a Boxing Day trial. The club is about having fun and getting bikes out of sheds to be used and we are always glad to welcome new faces.
